Set in the early 1900s, the story follows two Japanese girls chasing their dreams: Fujiko, an aspiring artist, and Chizuru, an aspiring ballerina. They first cross paths in Yokohama, then, following a fateful reunion, pursue their dreams together in Paris.

That much is clear. For a 2026 release, this is quite something. Looks good, although the CGI is inconsistent.

Look, a few too many subplots that don't go anywhere. The visual style is competent however uninspired.

"Paris ni Saku Étoile" is a cut above. I absolutely think the animation style is immaculate for this arc. Worth a watch if you're in the mood, but don't rush.
