Absolutely loved this! To add to that, impeccably paced and thoughtfully directed. Building on that, incredible sound design that immerses you completely.

The music adds another dimension to the experience. To elaborate, genuinely powerful acting throughout. The 7.9 rating doesn't surprise me.

It's style is very different to that usually associated with Ghibli. I like Ghibli films that said this falls into an anime spiral of - attack the armies that control the power and release the monster driving army2 into the acid sea who must retaliate by killing more people and raising a demon etc.

If you're expecting 'My Neighbour Totoro', you'll be disappointed. It isn't actually a true Ghibli film but is often marketed as such.
